Welcome to my world!

Scroll on to read my story and why I create.

Hi there, I'm Maya Fakhrriddine (Fak-ri-deen).

I create abstract art for curious souls who seek moments of tranquility amidst life's chaos. My purpose is to guide you to a space of healing, realignment, and reconnection with your inner power.

early years

As a first generation Lebanese-American, I grew up looking for acceptance and understanding. Navigating the duality of two worlds, I cherished the uniqueness of each experience and forged connections wherever I could.

Driven by my ever-growing curiosity, defining my individual identity became a path that led me to explore the essence of what makes us who we are.

My art is a testament to the belief that we are primarily spiritual beings navigating a human experience, not the other way around.

what informs my work

I choose to work in abstraction because it’s an open art form. The tactile and three-dimensional nature of my work invites you to take a closer look, even to touch, bringing you into a curious state. You'll momentarily detach from the material aspects of daily life and delve into the boundless world within you—a world of infinite depth.

While drawing inspiration from Islamic mysticism, my art speaks to the beauty of connection beyond any specific creed. The wonders of the natural world heavily influence my creative process—light, atmosphere, florals, and intricate letter forms all dance together, fueling my artistic expression.

One of my greatest desires is to uplift those who share the narrative of being "home away from home," regardless of physical distance. Far too many of us have suppressed our identities in pursuit of acceptance; my art gives permission to embrace every part of you.

When I'm not in my studio, you'll find me:

going for walks in Balboa Park or Seaport Village with my family,

trying out different boutique coffee shops,

and having the time of my life being her mother!
