I want your commission to feel calm from the very beginning, not transactional. The Planning Session is where we take the time to understand your space, your sensibility, and what you want the piece to hold. That way, when I begin creating, I’m grounded in your vision.
Because this process is intimate and hands-on, I accept only a limited number of commissions each year.
The Planning Session
Commission Planning Session (30 minutes)
Investment: $100 for 30 minutes.
Credit: Applied toward your commission total when you move forward within 14 days.
In this session, we’ll align on:
• The right size and placement — so the piece truly anchors your room
• Palette direction — harmonizing with your environment, not just matching your decor
• Mood and texture — from subtle to sculptural, depending on what feels right
• Timeline and next steps
You’ll receive a short written recap within 24–48 hours after our call.
Before we meet
After booking, please send me an email at hello@mayafakart.com with:
• 1–2 photos of your wall or space (a wide shot and a closer view)
• Any measurements you have (wall width, sofa width, ceiling height if relevant)
• Optional: one anchor reference — a textile, a detail, a landscape, a feeling

Your Planning Session credit will be applied to your commission total when you proceed within 14 days.

Generally yes; every commission begins here. It’s how I make sure your piece is properly scaled, cohesive with your home, and created with real intention. I don’t skip this step because it’s what makes the final piece feel right.
That’s exactly what the session is for. You don’t need a finished vision — just a sense of what you want your space to feel like. We’ll figure out the rest together.
Rescheduling is available up to 24 hours prior to your appointment. In a jam? I get it, just let me know.
Every commission is different and we will discuss this depending on technical complexity and size, but generally expect 6-8 weeks of creation time.
The fee reserves your time and is non-refundable. If you move forward with a commission within 14 days, it’s credited toward your total. There is no commitment to a commission after our session.
